| Day 2 | Albuquerque | This morning, attend the Fiestas opening ceremony, including the Dawn Patrol show, and the dramatic first Mass Ascension, where hundreds of hot air balloons and many gas balloons ascend into the sky. Experience what has grown into the most photographed event in the world. Learn about New Mexico and its influence on ballooning with a visit to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Gain special understanding on the mechanics of ballooning from your guest lecturer, and then take a guided tour of Albuquerques Old Town. Discover this citys rich multi-culturalism, and profound historic attractions. Tonight, return to Balloon Fiesta Park to view the Americas Challenge Gas Balloon Race. (B) |
| Day 3 | Albuquerque | This morning, enjoy a sunrise hot air balloon ride*, followed by the Fiestas champagne ceremony. Next, drive west to Sky City, Acoma Pueblo, situated atop a 365-foot sandstone mesa. Your evening features a special farewell dinner. Afterwards, you may return to the Fiesta grounds to watch more spectacular ballooning events including the Balloon Glow and a fireworks show. (B, D) |
